I loved the junctioning system, from the 10 minutes I played of FFX.

I didn't know a load of FF8 spells even existed until I played some of it through again with loads of cheat codes on. The End I already knew (probably the best spell ever) from Selphie's Limit-Break thinger by accident.

But there were loads of others ... one called Destruction I think. And some healy ones.

I'm a bit impassive about the junctioning system - could take it or leave it. I did like the fact you could draw new GFs from bosses, adds and extra something - but the whole system didn't really impact on me much.

Yes, I can see that. It was clearly aimed at the same subject. Either way, it's completely irrelevant to the conversation.

I know you do. But we weren't talking about GFs, we were talking about being able to draw all the powerful magic spells early on in the game. Carbuncle isn't a magic spell. So it's irrelevant.

But you had to draw GFs as well.

But like, stealing Magic spells?

If I remember correctly, you had to draw carbuncle before the end of Disc 1, or you were screwed.

You can't draw the good spells from enemies too early, to my knowledge. I don't remember being able to draw Ultima and aura for quite a while.
