Made it to easy though in my mind as you got all the powerful spells far to early by drawing from enemies

Going back to the original question, Valefor was pretty cool in Final Fantasy X. For me, it was because of the CG clip where he rescues Yuna by hurtling down out of the sky - good stuff.
I also liked Diablo and Eden from FFVIII. I guess the truly consistent one has to be Bahamut for being great in all of them. I particularly liked the variety in FFVII because of the Bahamut ZERO and Neo Bahamut.
On the subject of the quality of FFVIII though, I've always found it mysterious that so many believe it to be inferior to other Final Fantasy games. I loved Final Fantasy VII, but enjoyed Final Fantasy VIII just as much. As for the levelling up system, the one used in FFVIII is actually one of my favourite as I felt it had more flexibility than something like the Final Fantasy IX system.

You lot set me off talking about FFIX so after I watched the footie last night I dug it out. Played it for nearly 2 hours only to discover that the memory card is duff and I couldn't save it. Ratfinkles!
I'd like to add that all eight of characters are level 70 though, not just four.
Aye, it's not good, but with a gain of only about 700EXP (per char) things go rather slowly...

You mean Grand Dragons using Lvl 5 Death with Quina at 20 MP cost per battle, that are most likely to be found on Palmnell Island or outside the entrance of Daguerreo, where you are also likely to find Gimme Cats, which when attacked cast meteor?
