Well there already seems to be quite a few Half-Life 2 threads cluttering up the PC Forum and I have no idea how many more will be made after the game gets released. So, I made this thread which can be used to talk about everything that is Half-Life 2 related and I hope you will all use it instead of making a thread for every problem/query you have.

You could get away witth using the default gaming fascia for other games though, right?

Yeah, but if I'm going to use the standard layout beacuse I don't like the gaming layout, then why don't I just use a standard keyboard in the first place and save quite a bit of cash? What is it, 30 odd quid for each seperate game layout? Nah, I prefer a normal keyboard. The boards still look tacky IMHO.
The mouse with it's higher sampling rate may be of interest however.

Yeah, but if I'm going to use the standard layout beacuse I don't like the gaming layout, then why don't I just use a standard keyboard in the first place and save quite a bit of cash? I like it. Haven't got it yet, but it certainly looks like it helps coordination when the buttons are all different, rather than the same bunch of keys with different letters on.
The biggest problem I usually have with keyboard gaming is hitting the wrong key in a heated firefight, resulting in a prompt death.
