What - did you not notice the bazillion of times that eBay said - while you were signing up etc - that they won't ever, ever, ever email you asking for your login details?

Oh deary deary me.

So you actually entered your details?

Wha? You say that like a give a feck.

I dont care if youve been scammed, all i was doing is suggesting the most likely reason as to why you can't get in.

I get scams from all the major banks and ebay pretty much every day.

Gotta give credit to them, they look pretty convincing.

One of two reasons - scammers or Ebay. Hope it's Ebay.

The closest I've ever come to making a fool out of myself like that was when I nearly fell for a fake login screen on Neopets about 5 years ago. Now ~that~ would have been embarrassing!

My Dad hasn't done anything stupid like that, but when he saw one of those 'You've got a message, click here' banners he clicked it and called me in when he couldn't find anything apart from adverts!

Old and stupid people should be banned from computers, they're the reason why I'm getting loads of viruses sent to my email address.

If EBay had really deactivated your account you'd still be able to access it, it'd just come up with a message saying that you can't use it for the time being.
