IGNcube gave it 9.8 and said it was the best survivial horror game ever. The reviewer also said that if it was released in 2004 it would be Game of the Year, which tells you something about how good it is. I can't wait.

4 days till the US release, but according to the GAME website, the UK release is set for March 18th. Balls.

I presume TPHI is talking about TV ads. Capcom have done an excellent job of marketing this game. As hype built up they released more info, they got all the websites and all the magazines discussing it and splashing it accross the cover.

There must have been 4 RE4 covers in NGC magazines!

See you're wrong becuase the game wouldn't be huge without all the advertising it's already recieved. Games, like any product require a marketing to sell. If it didn't require advertising then Capcom wouldn't spend money advertising it, would they?

Resident Evil Outbreak got a load of advertisement and did well and Resident Evil remake had the big "adults get scared too" campaign.

I'm not defending Capcom, they're a company that make good games and advertise alright.

You can't expect adverts for VJ (though there were one or two) or PN:03... because they are small releases.

But there were adverts for both the RE new games.

There is a massive amount of hype around RE4 already with shops in America reportedly sold out of the pre-order allocation.

I'm talking TV ads here.

Resi Zero? Hmm.. Don't think so. Viewtiful Joe.. Nope. PN03.. Nope. I don't even remember any TV ads for Resi Remake. :S

Why are you defending Capcom? I thought you hated them after they forced Mikami-san to put Resi 4 on PS2 against his wishes?

It will be advertised, but not as much as San Andreas. That has tons of adverts in fact I've seen loads on TV in the past week. I probably correctly fear Resi 4 just isn't going to get *that* level of coverage, which is what it deserves.

Resident Evil 4 will be advertised heavily in stores and have as many adverts as GTA or what have you.

The game will sell.
