4 days till the US release, but according to the GAME website, the UK release is set for March 18th. Balls.
Twin Snakes isn't worth full price (few games are), but it's worth £15. :S
Last generation title. :D
I love Canadian $.
Here it is in brief.
Tphi (or someone similar): the game needs marketing to sell.
Dringo: Not the typical marketing the hype wheel has been turning for years.
Tphi: That's just stupid, don't advertise the game and the game won't sell. There needs to be TV adverts.
Dringo: But the game has generated so much "buzz", thanks to well timed PR and promotional screenshots, Demo's etc... the game is set to sell through the roof. In store promotions and posters are all that are needed and Capcom are good at those.
Tphi: No they're not.
Gerrid: Dringo you're wrong, they hype is caused by advertisement.
Dringo: errr I know, the game doesn't need millions splashed on the launch to sell.
Gerrid: Dringo you're going round in circles, magazines covers and what not is what caused the hype.
Dringo: I know
Tphi: And we're talking TV ads.
Gerrid: TV ads aren't all that good.
Dringo: Exactly
Gerrid: You're going round in circles etc....
For christs sake, accept it, we're agreeing!

this isn't anything to do with TV adverts.
But the argument is that Tphi believes that RE4 won't sell because there won't be much advertisement for the game come launch. In which he means TV ads.
I'm not saying there hasn't been any advertisement, there has been much marketing for the game but in regards to TV ads there doesn't need to be too much.
Posters, in store promotions and what not will all exists. I'm sure Gamestation will do a countdown to the game is released and it'll sell.
But in terms of Tphi's theory that the game won't sell due to lack of TV advertisement, I strongly disagree.
You are right of course TV ads aren't really worthwhile.
> Who's walking about TV adverts?
I don't know but Dringo's talking about them as are Tphi, Domaye, and Cycloon.
