A very disappointing showing from our Weslh boys, and to be honest England didn't get out of second gear. 'Twas quite a boring match, and it was simply a case of 'Hello, we are England, we are basically much better than you and we are going to take this easy.'

If it weren't for a few greedy individuals our boys would have been humiliated completely. Beckham's goal was sweet mind.

And you can tell England and Wales hate each other:

'And now can we have a minute's silence please'

'F**k off Wales'

'F**k you'

etc...

Anyone else watch the match?

Against Italy a few months/years ago? Yeah, that was wonderful. Wasted talent though at RB.

Seriously though, if Owen tries to claim the first goal, then he really is desperate for a goal...

He'll probly go and claim it was a genius backheel....

I know, Davies at right-back. Don't make me laugh.

See his goal? Wonderful strike :)

Yup, Paul Jones as great. Hartson just did gimpish stuff.

To be honest, I think it would have been a totally different game with Davies up front and Delaney at back, as he is usually rather solid in defence.

You thought so? Because they looked incredibly relaxed to me; as if they were lying back and enjoying the game.

Let's face it though, they weren't really being selfish. If we're honest. Owen, Rooney and Defoe passed and set up as many goals as they went for themselves, and most of the time it was the best decision to take things on alone.

'Twas a very average and dull match. The only player that stood out was Paul Jones for me, with a couple of brilliant saves that basically kept the score down.

Dont see how you can single out those 3 players, to be honest no one really played brilliantly, other than their keeper. I wouldnt say Owen and Beckham did nothing all game. Becks put some good long range passes for the attackers to run on to, and Owen created himself a few chances too. I was impressed with Rooney, but he should have put that chance he had across the goal.

Agreed on the Hargreaves thing tho. How is he even in the squad?

That's an awful view for a proffesional to take! You have to go out with the frame of mind to win the game by as many goals as you can, England weren't exactly cruising at any stage were they?!
