My brother has a few guitars and recently got a Spider 2 (think it was Spider 2 anyway, but may have been Spider 1, there was a lot of confusion as he got it off Ebay and they sent him the wrong amp first time... :S) Digital Amp with a huge floorboard with pedal and wah and all that jazz. Twas pretty loud too.

Yes and no. Epiphone Les paul like the one i got, they range from about £200 to £900, but proper Gibsons like 90% of pro guitarists use, and which i SO badly want, start at about £800 (if your lucky), and, well, upwards basically! £1,500, £3000, £35,000, £45,000, depends how much you want to pay. I think once you reach a certain price no guitar can be worth over a certain amount of money, unless it's Jimi Hendrix's white strat :D
