I think IPODS are ideal for those on the move, constantly (such as famous people). How many people actually walk down the street listening to their IPODS? I mean theyd get robbed considering how much they are worth. I think its pretty pointless to own one if you dont intend to listen to it on the move. i think their main appeal lies within its style and its "brag-ability" ("oh look Ive got an IPOD, arnt I amazing")
Id much rather own the PSP when it comes out. It plays music, aswel as movies and games. I just think people are just too naive to really expect the moneys worth of £300 plus for an IPOD. Youd have to have a seriously huge CD collection to even slightly fill up the storage on the IPOD, and you need them all in MP3 format. Its too much hassle for me.
Also apple rip-off their UK customers more than any1 else in the world, especially downloading off ITunes.
Does anyone here own an IPOD, and are you happy with it???
Although maybe would have got one back in my college days when i had to take a bus. Although my MD done me fine.
BArgain if you ask me. I have a lot of music but can't be bothered with CD discman's and the likes as it is so one dimensional. Using friends they are well easy to get around and store stuff so i am really looking forward to it.
My main reason for getting ipod over say creative was:
A) I had experienced them and liked them
B) Sony proved with the playstation that an inferior device can out do a superior device through popularity alone. Nobody is going to knock ipod of the top spot and as a result all accessories and softwareand the likes developed by third parties will be for it. But at the moment i view iPod as the superior product.

Sorry, caught me in a bad mood.

It is a bit too pricey (even with the drop in price) but they do what they are supposed to do, even with a pants battery (But its very rare that you ain't gonna not be able to charge it somewhere).

No worries
You don't even need to read the instruction manual to go and pick a song to listen to.
It's cool, I want one, but I doubt I could afford it.
