Now, i am considering getting either of the following, a 14" top spec (the max everything can go) iBook. OR, a 12" PowerBook, with low to medium specs.

What do you think would be the better option.

I prefer the look of a powerbook, and it's modemness, but is there that much differance?

Of course, I truly won't understand it until I can actually use it.

Another thing I wanted to ask about concerning iMac, Timmargh... I don't know if you use it, but does XCode really support live code changing?

Oohh, so that's what Expose does. I just thought it was a glorified "Show Desktop", but it is in fact (huge breath) an interactive, full screen Alt-tab Powertoy replacement. Another words, sooo much better.

They're all 1440x900.

The second picture is Exposé (http://www.apple.com/uk/macosx/features/expose/) in action - hit F9 and all your open windows are shrunk to fit on-screen so you just click on the one you want (the name shows when you hover over them). F10 will show all the windows of the current app and F11 will slide all apps off-screen so you can get to the desktop ... referred to the same action as "cockroaches when you switch on the light".

Heh, ok then. I'm the sort of person that hunts a specific album/tune down. ;)

To be honest, Chipseh, I just pick a playlist, close the window and then forget about it for the rest of the day.
