I'm considering using Mozilla as my operating system and totally replacing Windows altogether.

Though there are a few things I would like to ask any Mozilla users out there.

Can I simply install it over the top of Windows or do I need to wipe my computers, get mozilla on a disk and start from scratch?

Whats the functionaily of the OS like? The browser is fantastic, much better than IE in my opinion - is the OS like the browser?

Any tips/advice will be muchly appreciated.

Cheers.

I quite like it

I don't like it's price tag though.

Yup. I'd take my iBook over it anyday. It has an Airport Extreme card, yes, but it's not really portable at the end of the day. Plus, the fact that it tries to look like an iPod really doesn't work. Still, it is a feat of design, but it isn't as cool and stunning as the previous iMac.

Shame it's under powered and with limited upgradability! Just pre ordered one as a test platform at work, but thats all it's good for.

The GFX card stinks for a machine with so much processing power, FX5200! You gotta be kiddin!?

EVERYTHING, harddrive, graphics card, sound card, etc, all in a tiny flat monitor.

Mac > PC. fullstop.

I mainly mean the hardware, it's alot more expensive to set up a Mac then a PC.

On a random change of opinion.

I'm now running Windows XP SP2.

And quite enjoying it.

I took your points into account Turbonutter.

Oh, is that including the extortionate hardware to go with it?
