The FOG has always been a discussion forum, and a discussion forum it should stay. I mean, all the posts are recorded, and on here we can all look back at what we've previously written. Also, I believe we function better like this. It means friendly arguments and topics are discussed for longer, without stupid internet language, and annoying little symbols.
A discussion forum is what the FOG has been. We all met in this discussion forum, we all laughed at Sniper being killed in this discussion forum, we all told eachother about what consoles/games we own in this discussion forum, and most importantly, we all became friends in THIS discussion forum.
That is why I believe, SR should NOT have a chatroom.
Thanks for reading, Ant.

Yeah, all things in a chatroom are lost. This is an archive of our time at SR. A chatroom is a waste of this.

Even though this is happening a lot on here anyway recently. :(

Well done. Put across with a huge heart, and your feelings were clear. I don't think I have much to add, except; NO CHATROOM!
Assuming that the glitches were ironed out I don't disagree with a chat room, but I don't think I would use it myself.
Everything is a little too "on the fly" for me. All those rapid one-liners.
Then there is the fact that entries dissappear. If you aren't there at the time you don't see them. If you come in part way through the conversation then you can't contribute properly. (though I presume you can scroll)
Also - on the forums you can browse different subjects and choose which ones to get involve in. In the chat room you either have to lead the subject or wait quietly until something comes your way in which you can take part.
It's no wonder these things end up with sexual banter if they have girls in them. That seems more what they were designed for than for proper conversation.
It's a fact though, that lots of people search the internet for chat.
Overall my vote is NO, unless there is a strong vote by the regulars for the chat room.
Hum..losing battle here.
Then I'll post a summary of the votes.
