Is dangerously addictive, almost impossibly deep, and is a truly marvellous management spectacle.

It is also frustrating beyond words, often truly ridiculous and is a cause of premature mental instability.

I love Football Manager '05

He obviously cheated...I mean someone who wins the premiership and then says their defence is crap... :S

Also - how the f... did you get enough money to pay for that?

And you need some good strikers. I recommend Miccoli (£18m)... Also, change the formation if you've been using it for a season or so.

Grrr...just lost to Tottenham, I wanted that damn Community Shield!!

>:(

It isn't a very important match but after spending millions on some of the best footballers in the Premiership i'd expect to win easily...but I didn't, I lost 2-0.

I really don't know where i'm going wrong now, I can't beleive I didn't even score a goal in that match, especially when I had C.Ronaldo, Andy Johnson and Reyes upfront.

Anyway I need to know something:

My mate has managed to get the little cross, minimise and restore thing at the top when he is playing FM2005 and I want that...how do you do it? It could come in very useful instead of having to press that little icon on my Keyboard.

My team is the opposite, we always let in a goal early in the game and either score a couple more and win or lose.

Got a new tactic in my second season with United - 4-3-1-2 with WB. Works like a charm, along with the little tweaks.

Currently top scorers in everything, and top of the divison by 9 points after 23 games, with 20 wins, 1 draw and 2 loses. For - 79, Against - 15. Generally, when I lose, it's due to an injury to a striker or defender who's on form.

Team:

Howard
Heinze Chivu Ferdinand Lahm
Giggs Klebersen Kalou
Valdez
Miccoli van Nistleroy

With plenty of options for most positions.

Doing surprisingly well with Forest. Simply play all out attack, 4-4-2 getting as much ball going through Andy Reid as possible. I noticed I'd always score first, but go on to lose. So after the first goal goes in, it's all out defence...

Surprsingly effective. Only goes to pot when the other team scores first, but then confidence built from winning 10 games in a row 1-0 or 2-1 usually carries us through.

Your defence can't be that bad if you won the premiership with them :/
