Is dangerously addictive, almost impossibly deep, and is a truly marvellous management spectacle.

It is also frustrating beyond words, often truly ridiculous and is a cause of premature mental instability.

I love Football Manager '05

I have a 450MHz P2 and I run the Prem on huge.

Now that's cool.

Recommended setup - 16 or so leagues, large database.

A word on databses - Small only has mainly well known players... Less "wonderkids" scattered around. Scouts generally don't find such "treasures" as they would in large. Large simply has more players, most worst, but some real finds... (Mokoena!)

I only have League 1, 2 and the premiership. But thats because I am using a laptop with about 900MHz.

I also want to know the difference bewteen Large and Small databases?

I would use my PC (much better than my laptop) but it's upstairs in my sister's room so i'd rather use the Laptop downstairs and watch TV aswell.

Well thats mine, or what they set it at, but at that it would go pretty slow I guess.

Ah cool, so you only run your division? Not the ones below it etc in the same nation?

Whats the difference in using a Large and Huge database? I'm sure huge is an option...I think.

May just run Seria A and B tonight then.

Hmmm...

I have a 3.2Ghz P4, 1.24 GBs (3200) and a generally good set-up.

Yet I still only run the Division I'm in + a large database. Then it's never more than about 2 minutes, even when it has over 100 matches to process...

But yeah, I wouldn't recommend running more than 3-4, with a large database. Large databases are much better...

Great game, which I'm going to get started on properly later on today.

However before I do I need some advice on the number of leagues run etc. I'm thinking of starting with Roma, and who knows, I may want to go to some other club after. But Roma for the main. Do I just run the Italian leagues?

My PC is fairly high spec, Athlon 3400 with 2gig RAM. When I ran about 16 nations only with their top leagues the processing in between days in game took ages.

So whats everyones suggestions on leagues against speed? Is there even any need to have other leagues running? Whats everyones set up with player datatbases etc?

Oh, and they have all these leagues but no Japanese J-League. How poo, that league rocks!

Need to have at greater than 1024x768... Otherwise it takes up the whole screen anyway :D.
