Is dangerously addictive, almost impossibly deep, and is a truly marvellous management spectacle.

It is also frustrating beyond words, often truly ridiculous and is a cause of premature mental instability.

I love Football Manager '05

Dunno how much he's worth at the start, but currently worth £26,500,000 and bought him for £18.5 million (you have to get the offer accepted by both Fiorentina and Juventus - so I paid them £9,250,000 each...)

Definately worth it.

Also, is it just me, or does your star striker get injured get after christmas every damn season?!?

You've got a great team there, Coin. You've reccomended Miccolli to me before so I might buy him depending on how much hes worth.

Farfan isn't doing to well so far, but I think im going to play a whole seasopn before I get rid of any of my main players.

Meh.

Sitting in third, haven't really got started this season. A 1-0 loss to Valencia capped a poor run into Christmas, as well as a 4-2 loss to Everton, who are currently leading the table.

Miccoli's just come back, lacking form and fitness, but once he gets going, I should be back to banging them in, with a very hot strike force...

Nistles, Podolski, Valdez, Miccoli and Saha... Sweet.

Midfeild is looking particularly strong now, having signed Julia Baptista for £12,000,000 - he hasn't got started either, but he's looking like a good signing - and Ronaldo being worth £35,000,000. Giggs, Beirofka, Kalou, Klebersen in support - should probably sign a couple more MC's though.

Defence is, well, not performing. Howard is excellent however, being (from what I've seen) one of the best keepers in FM 2005, rather opposed to his actual form for United (despite being just given a 4 year contract - what is Ferguson thinking?!?). Chivu is making mistakes, but worth £19,000,000, Ferdinand is solid (£26,000,000) and Lahm, Heinze, Silvestre, Neville and Bovo provide good enough cover.

Signed Cudiccini in place of Carroll, Alinoisi to replace him. Also signed 3-4 other young keepers, notably Babacan Volkan.

I have Study Leave all next week so i'll only be coming in school for about 2 hours a day.

I'll try not to play FM2005 during that time...but if it starts calling my name I dont know how im going to just ignore it.

EDIT| I could ask my mum to take the laptop to work, that way there'll be now way I can play it. But that'll probably lead me to suicide.

Heh, I just bought a Brazilian player called "Domingo"(sp?). Haven't played him yet but I compared him to my other first team defender and he is actually better.

Quite happy seeing as I bought him for less than £1M and im paying him £625 per week.

Go me!

I don't know whats up with this game, sometimes i'll not play it for weeks but then i'll have a little go and be hooked for months.

Be warned - buying players based on online reviews can seriously damage your health. Or at least your enjoyment.

Also, at this point (relatively soon after the FM / CM split - so fans are divided) most players can be found through scouting - I found about 6/7 of the players I'd already signed were on the top players list...

Meh, skins are nothing new.

I've decided since CM 03/04, I'm sticking with the normal FM skin.

Also, check out tp.thedugout.net in about a month, when it's forums are back up. Best place for tactics, reviews, skins and what-have-you.

Yes, simple typo.

I've changed the whole appearence of my FM2005 now, I have the premiership ball, a 'Refreshed' skin and i've changed the icons of my players.

Me = Loving FM right now.
