And it's mine!

A bank robbing/general heist game. Each different level is a different set-up that requires you to infiltrate different locations, avoid/take out guards, set up electronics, lay traps and bluffs, shimmy through air vents, avoid laser beams, all in the style of Oceans Eleven.

Just imagine how cool a game like that could be. Breaking into a casino vault. Choosing five men to take part, all with different abilities eg. small chinese guy fits through vents, big knucklehad knocks out guards, dweeby guy is good with electronics, pickpocket can steal keys and paperwork, charming guy can distract people... it's a classic waiting to happen. Add several different ways to complete each break-in and you've yourself a winner. You could even break up different heists into different locations by nicking bits of equipment from elsewhere.

Nick the best bits from Splinter Cell, throw in a bit of M:I-style action (lowering yourself through air vents etc.), a few Bond-style gadgets and you've got a class-A game. Obviously the game would have to be fairly difficult, and you'd fail the first few times, but once you get to learn people's routines, find passwords and codes, disguise yourself as key employees etc. you learn each level.

Man, this game would rule. Like Splinter Cell but set in Vegas without Michael Ironside. All ideas are copyrighted to me, mofos. As far as I know, a game like this has never been created, that focuses solely on the break-in side of things, so it'd be fairly fresh and original.

And yes, I did just watch the Parole Officer.

That is a great idea, AOE, for me, at least.

The cruise liner seems most obvious, as you could sneak onto the boat before/during its launch. Then, you could get a waiter or whatever, nick his clothes, and play along, getting to the vault and stuff.

Could rule.

You can tell you watched the parole officer :P

Maybe there could be a level on an aeroplane or something where there could be only three characters like the main dude, electronics guy and master of disguise. You had to somehow sneak onto the plane without being seen, hide till you're in the air, then steal something from a safe then return it back to where you was hiding and remain there till it lands (maybe you get some sleep once you get back to your hiding place and get woken up before you land just so you don't have to endure it all although the plane only stays in the air for 1 and a half hours maybe, so if you're still crawling around by this time and it lands, there's a higher chance of being found).

I dunno. Maybe make it a cruise liner or something as there could be more people and it's larger. I don't know, but some type of transport anyway.

By actually making the game and then making copies of it and selling it maybe? Just a thought.

I wouldn't worry about it. Developers rip off movie ideas all the time, just look at all the 2 Fast 2 Furious-like games that came out at the same time as the movie.

You're only problem is that you've admitted it's a direct rip-off in this very thread. :S

The description faintly matches Splinter Cell. And yes, it IS a pretty good idea, a game i'd buy.

It was good, very enjoyable. Heavily flawed but still excellent fun.
