My personal view is that England will win.
I also think we stand a real chance of the title.
Feel free to pop this if we plummet out, but know that if you "diss" me and my "mamma" that I will pop it when we win.
I was wrong on one count, but we're not out yet.
*pop*

France would be in quite a pickle if that actually happened.

At least they'd be English.
We should have Henry and Van Nistlerooy up front playing for England if your gonna have Sven as manager.
What's the point in having International teams and Club teams?
Countries should be made up fully of their own country, no matter if it's manger or not.
Fair enough, Rio Ferdinand is banned until September, and Jonthan Woodgate got himself injured, but...
To partner Sol "-id as a rock" Campbell, we have only:
Ledley King, or...
Jamie Caragher.
Now, that's hardly gonna give even Wiltord a restless Saturday night, given the off-chance he might have to play some part in the game, is it! :P
Where's Gareth Southgate? What about Ugo Ehiogu?
Where is the "strength and depth" of ours that makes almost any-other nation rightly one of the favourties for the competition??
What good is youth and inexperience when you're up against Henry and Zidane!
We can't simply play it ALL on the attack... :@
> Thierry Henry is the one-man who cannot be man-marked.
I don't know about that. Terry and Gallas have learnt to shut him up in games now which is great for us. However in Euro 2004, Gallas will be on his team, and Terry is out. So I don't think Clumsy Campbell/Carragher can man mark him.
"It's Euro 2004 not the Premiership. I'll bet you £10 Rooney scores more goals in Euro 2004 than Thierry Henry."

Well, who else is gonna get on the end of the Zinedine Zidane's excellent through-balls when David Trezeguet is all marked-up - Sylvain Wiltord!? :P
Thierry Henry is the one-man who cannot be man-marked.
"Gerrard will be the star player for England. Beckham, Rooney and I think even Scoles will have a good tournement."
-----
I can also see why Gerard is likely to be one of our main out-standing players within the few weeks our trip to Portugal lasts, but, for me, it shouldn't be that way. If Nicky Butt isn't gonna feature in the starting eleven, Gerard's the one who should "leading the defence", if you will. But, in the last few internationals alone, he seems to be getting too-far-forward and finds himself stuck there when we become over-exposed on the counter-attack. Lampard cannot play this role. And, with our full-backs upfront also to provide the width our "freeform" midfield rarely seems to have anymore, it only gets worse.
Whatever happens, Beckham'll be all-over the 'papers anyway.
As for Rooney, I agree with you again. Even if he doesn't carry us forwards like a one-man team, the media will again be around to pull the wool over our eyes once more about this "world class talent", and, with the way things look likely to go, his wages'll be going up again anyway.
And, how many contracts will that be now, since he first turned pro...?
Three?? Four?? He seems to have a new one on the table every 6 months - £30,000-a-week for a porker barely even old enough to vote! :@
