I purposely didn't urge anyone not to watch the program, as I thought this would only increase the chance people would watch it.
Anyway, good to see that we managed over 700 complaints in the end.

I just hope, nothing like this ever takes place on our screens again.
2. How narrow minded can some people be?
"Although Channel 4 received 487 telephone calls and e-mails complaining about the show, it said only 30 came after transmission.
A Channel 4 spokesman added the majority of the complaints before the show came from church groups."
The vast majority had made up their minds before the show was aired. And the majority were from church groups. Now I won't make some stupid generalisation about Christians here - I'll just say the fact that almost everyone had formed a wholly biased opinion before even watching the programme shows how foolish some can be.

Because you probably show tollerance, curiousity and making your own mind up about things. Gump doesn't.
And I hope you are prepared for the "you aren't a real christian" backlash from ff?
Have a nice weekend. :)

heh, he is pretenting the question doesn't exist, or hoping I forget. Next time he mentions anything about free will that I catch, i'm gonna *pop* the sucker back up.
I could understand if he watched the show first then complained but I watched it and thought there was nothing against christian teachings in it anyway

Heh. If you look at Mary's opinions about free will in his 'discussion' with Pandaemonium on the Life and Everything board, you'll soon see that he has absolutely no comprehension as to the meaning of the phrase.

How are we supposed to have free will if we have no choices to make. We need a mixture of good and bad thing in the world in order to make a choice of which to follow.
> Well basically it contradicts our (as Christians) beliefs
Who cares?
There's a truckload of stuff on TV that contradicts plenty of other peoples' beliefs - but do they complain?
Mary-Troll Whitegump.
Hmm.

I dunno, when I see them, for two minutes I start shouting at the screen, in a blind rage which is totally out of my control. Until I switch channels..............

There's more than 4 I think. I'll flick through them every now and again for a laugh and a rant. To be honest, none of it's a million miles away from the kind of broadcasts Orwell described in Big Brother. All they're missing is "The Weekly Hate" and it'd be complete...
