Thought I'd do one of these instead of everyone posting random topics about teams transfer activities this summer.

----------------

Today's big story is that Roberto Carlos is set to move to Chelsea for £20 Mill at the age of 31 that is an excessive amount of money for someone of that age and what will this mean for Wayne Bridge? and im sure Franky Lampard will not be happy at Carlos' reported 120k a week wages!

In other news, Smith seem's set to have a medical on wednedsday at OT in a deal which will see Danny Pugh go the other way. Birmingham are closing in on Muzzy Izzet and Dickov and Darren Purse is set for a move to Norwich City for 500k a snip seeing as though there were figures of £5 mill flying around a few years ago.

Anymore for anymore?

I know that none of you premiersh!t fellows will be at all interested but Ian Wright (Ex-Arsenal legend) is on a month-to-month contract at Stevenage Borough with a view to a permenant deal!

Kluivert probably isn't going to Middlesbrough now afterall, and Rivaldo could be back on his way to Bolton again after his arrogant agent laughed-off Celtic's "insulting" offer of a trial for the player, first.

It doesn't matter who or how big you are, every players needs to be tested first. It was a good thing to do - I doubt many others would've tried Rivaldo first, before crippling the club's fortunes on him.

As we've seen at Stamford Bridge, players can take great time to settle in. It's better to see whether he's like to do so before-hand, rather than after having spent all that money.

Back on Kuivert, he clearly wants to go to Arsénal (if not Chelsea, of course...). He's said he would only sign for another "big club" "in London"...

Ranieri can hardly decide whether to "keep Ranieri" or not, as my original post told Kenyon to do.

And I always thought that was the manager's job...?

Then again, this is Chelski! Things are very different there. Whatever Roman wants, Roman gets. Claudio Ranieri appears to have very little say in many matters... :P

Well, if they can find the £63,000-a-week to fund Alen Boksic nearing the end of his career, surely they'll do `all-they-can´ to get a younger, greater-proven Dutch international on their books?

Capello is a certified genius, makes me wish even more we'd have got him and kicked Fergie out. Great tactics from the man there, cheap and under-handed.........just makes me respect him even more :-D

perhaps, but emerson has been a major factor in Roma gaining automatic qualification for the champs league and the money generated from progressing in europe can far ooutweigh the difference between emersons current value and what u lot offered.

emerson will probably fetch 7-8 mill max. top player. But he has 12 months on his contract and everyone knows roma are fuckked. school boy error. should have taken our money last year!

Well I suppose the fact that the season has finished, Lima's contract has finished, means he has left. Just that no one has signed him. Suppose he could stay if no club came in for him.

Chivu was originally on loan at Roma becasue Roma didnt have any cash to buy him with. He signed proper in the january window.

Roma paid about €18M for him which really makes me think WTF?!!! when you think of thier situation now.
