"I had a police driving test today"

Had to drive a 2.0 16v Turbo Ford Mondeo saloon. It's a huge car and has very bad vision out of the rear compared to what I'm used to driving.

Had to do the old reverse round a corner and turn in the road as well as driving for 35 minutes.

I passed, (of course), so now I can drive a police car at legal speeds. I am aloud to use my siren and lights to stop "compliant" drivers, but I can't do most stuff until I've done the 3-week course.

Yes, I'm tender.

Nah, you have to have been driving for at least a year for them even to consider you to start learning how to drive the police way.

I was told how rare it was for someone who has been driving for the period of time I have to pass first time, and given my tender age he was quite impressed.
