Mine came earlier, just been playing it until it crashed my Cube (which hasn't happend in about a year, but never mind).

Very weird to play this after Resi 4, I don't think you couldn't get two shooting games any more different from each other.

So far:

+ Lots of humour and little touches which made me smile
+ More Captain Ash
+ Looks and sounds alot better with alot more speech
+ The stats & character gallery are back, with some old favourites
+ Intimidatingly huge amount of Challenges etc. to do
+ Doesn't look like EA have messed around with FRD's game.

- Couple of framerate slowdowns
- Pathetically weak and short opening level (the demo level)
- I seem to be crap at Arcade league.

The opening Story Level is a let down, specially since the beginning of TSP2 threw you into the sublime Siberia level. But the next level is far better. And has Captain Ash who is hilarious :)

Oh, and in the extras section you can see the credits, which has Cortez going all Saturday Night Fever on a mirror-balled dance floor. The sign on the wall says "The Big Tipper". :D

Still shouldn't happen, though.

[Ed] - did it crash for no reason, though? There wasn't, say, a load of stuff going on on the screen at once ?

It crashed twice on mine now. Both times were just as the timer hit zero on arcade league (different missions). However, I had failed on both those occasions so it doesn't really matter.

I'm glad I got a new cube at Christmas, my old one would have made me cry if the game's crashing on all of your consoles.

That sounded rather rude until I read a bit further down.

Still 10 bots.

Just been playing a challenge on a massive level that's based on the Obylthingy Damn from TS2. It's not the level though from TS2, it's like a massive ice lake with the damn in the distance, level's hoooooooge.

"It crashed my Cube (which hasn't happend in about a year, mind)" Helps if you read the original post before uncorking what passes for your brain, letting it dribble over the message box and pressing send.

If you get yours tommorrow I won't be happy, I calimed it as a GAD last year and they sent it out Yesterday (although I think they actaully sent it out 2 days ago, seeing as it's been "despatched on so and so date" and that do I received it.

:-(

I've had to sit here all day doing nothing because it hasn't arrived yet.

And rightly so, it was easily the best arcadey multiplayer level in both games.

How many players/bots can yyou get overall?

Is it still 10?
