Mine came earlier, just been playing it until it crashed my Cube (which hasn't happend in about a year, but never mind).

Very weird to play this after Resi 4, I don't think you couldn't get two shooting games any more different from each other.

So far:

+ Lots of humour and little touches which made me smile
+ More Captain Ash
+ Looks and sounds alot better with alot more speech
+ The stats & character gallery are back, with some old favourites
+ Intimidatingly huge amount of Challenges etc. to do
+ Doesn't look like EA have messed around with FRD's game.

- Couple of framerate slowdowns
- Pathetically weak and short opening level (the demo level)
- I seem to be crap at Arcade league.

The opening Story Level is a let down, specially since the beginning of TSP2 threw you into the sublime Siberia level. But the next level is far better. And has Captain Ash who is hilarious :)

Oh, and in the extras section you can see the credits, which has Cortez going all Saturday Night Fever on a mirror-balled dance floor. The sign on the wall says "The Big Tipper". :D

Ahh, I got a gold in Astro Jocks last night, giving me my last character (a crappy robot).

I haven't completed teh game 100% yet (I think I have to do Co-Op in all difficulties, plus, I've only done the last level in Hard Mode), but I can tell straight away that I prefered TS2.

This is just a lot easier.

You could make it that you have to destroy a barrel or a box or something.

I know this is a bit of a nit-pick, but does anyone else think there aren't enough story-mode pickups in mapmaker's logic? Last time I checked, there were 3. So I have to create a story level using either a time crystal, a lunchbox or a gentlemen's mag. Sounds like a saturday night level to me.

Tphi that's the "rays of light" that I'm talking about. Lead me to the portal as well.

Don't know if it's the same for everyone but there was some graphical glitch I think on mine, where the rays of light coming out the portal actually came through the walls of the cave it's in. That helped me to get to the finish easily.

Ok just done it - You are going through some tunnels and at the end of it you see the lunchbox. Pick it up and turn right back around. Walk back through the tunnels and you'll get to a clearing with some water on your right and a sack-wall in front of you, with another tunnel entrance behind. Go into those tunnels, avoid all the timesplitters and just keep running - you should see a weird light ray coming from the right part of your screen. Follow the tunnels and you come to a dead end with a lowered gate on your left and a portal right ahead of you. Jump straight in and finish the level.

Gerrid expects payment for this, by the way.
