Mine came earlier, just been playing it until it crashed my Cube (which hasn't happend in about a year, but never mind).

Very weird to play this after Resi 4, I don't think you couldn't get two shooting games any more different from each other.

So far:

+ Lots of humour and little touches which made me smile
+ More Captain Ash
+ Looks and sounds alot better with alot more speech
+ The stats & character gallery are back, with some old favourites
+ Intimidatingly huge amount of Challenges etc. to do
+ Doesn't look like EA have messed around with FRD's game.

- Couple of framerate slowdowns
- Pathetically weak and short opening level (the demo level)
- I seem to be crap at Arcade league.

The opening Story Level is a let down, specially since the beginning of TSP2 threw you into the sublime Siberia level. But the next level is far better. And has Captain Ash who is hilarious :)

Oh, and in the extras section you can see the credits, which has Cortez going all Saturday Night Fever on a mirror-balled dance floor. The sign on the wall says "The Big Tipper". :D

Oh, wait a minute, I had TS2 on the PS2.
That'll probably be why.

The c-stick was just far too sensitive, and it made it much harder to be accurate.

Aye, I never had any problems either.
Running head-shots on everyone, easy.

Twitchiness? Never noticed it in any of the TS games. Unless I've developed an automatic reaction to move the C-stick in the opposite direction to the way it slowly moves or something like that.

Put it this way : in TS2, you would never have managed to aim up at a camera and keep your aim on it while you were strafing, because a tiny movement on the C-stick sent your aim flying all over the place. You can do that in TS3 though, with ease.

People always seemed to ignore me whne I said I didn't find the controls twitchy.

In the Siberia level, for example, I could manage to wipe out all of the cameras and people with one shot each.
Including the sniper up on the dam, and the camera on the far side of the compound.

Yep it was the headshots and trying not to waste ammo and be stealthy that really brought out the flaws.

The controls were stupidly twitchy. I never noticed it really until I came back to it about a month ago on the XBox.

You're okay running around shooting moving targets, but the minute you attempt any precise aiming at things like gun turrets the reticule is all over the place.

I still don't get this.

I never found teh controls twitchy.

I discovered why people disliked the sniper, but I'd changed it to a fixed aim, so it moves the way it should.
