I'm just saying that in film making respects The Lord of the Rings has to have taken inspiration from the Star Wars trilogy. Just a small observation - I'm not saying it's unoriginal.
Oh, and in response to your comment, I've actually got a print out of comments from a petition that was set up to try and get Peter Jackson to change the name of The Two Towers as it was "a blatent cash on the tragic twin towers events". Hilarious reading :)

(snort) I suppose you're one of these people who thought that "The Two Towers" was deliberately cashing in on 9/11.

Hahaha.
not because i'm one of those "the book was soooooo much better because this tiny detail was mentioned" elitist types, but simply because i've grown into a highly impatient man and the movies are just too longwinded for me. i tried to watch the 2 towers the other day and lost interest after about half and hour. i probably couldn't be arsed with the books now either though so it's purely my nature :)
i like my movies to be thinker movies (Pi) or no-brainers (xXx, gone in 60 seconds), the wizards and warriors thing just doesn't do it for me i don't think, although i've watched the "making of" discs from Fellowship about 100 times, there's no denying the movies are amazing spectacles.
