What are the 5 scariest movies you've ever seen? Go on, post them and then we can all say stuff like 'I can't believe you were scared by that.'

P.S: Snuff doesn't count.

Saving Private Ryan
Requiem for a Dream
Irreversible
Tetsuo – The Iron Man
Eraserhead

I find “Horror” movies amusing.

The original "The Thing" was scary.

The re-make was poop.

Evil Dead - first saw it when I was 10. The girl being possessed by the window then staring at them through the trapdoor to the basement REALLY freaked me out.

Scream - yeah, yeah, I know. But I was about 12 when I saw it, and the opening sequence really freaked me out (don't forget, this was before the sequels and Scary Movie watered it all down)

Halloween - again, saw it when I was very young. When he came out of the shadows in slow motion, my mate and I were amazed.

The Thing - saw it when I was about 8 - even now the effects look good.

I dunno, er... probably Evil Dead 2 - when he's in the house alone for the first half hour or so.
