The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
I'll start, just list anything you like, afterall this could turn out to be quite a decent thread for getting "Program reccomendations".
1. Mozilla Firefox - Probably the most advanced web browser ever, fast and easy to use. Excellent!
2. MSN Messenger - I cannot live without this, I have to communicate with people, and this seems the best way to do so.
3. mIRC - For those "file" getting needs (totally legal, yup).....
4. Winamp - This is probably the best multimedia playing app I have seen, it's fast and easy, and very very versatile. Highly reccomended as an alternative to WMP.
5. Nero - Awesome CD Burner, has lots of features.
6. AVG Antivirus - Seeing as I have a Windows system, it's best I keep myself protected, and this beast of a checker does exactly what it says on the tin.
7. Kazaa Lite - Obviously to get music from those budding underground artists....
8. Dev C++ - For my C programming requirements, this program is apt enough.
9. WinRAR - I have to do a lot of copmpression, and this beast of a compresser is excellent for my needs!
10. ExpressPCB - Excellent little Circuit Designer.
Firefox isn't rubbish.
In my opinion, it's a beast of a browser, it's well just perfect
And to back up what Misrableman has stated, visit my site (http://www.djh-world.com) in IE, then in Firefox, Notice the difference? Yes my site is a load of rubbish, but i'm just proving a point that IE is frankly a load of bull crap compared to Firefox.
Oh and Azul...*downloads Alcohol*

Actually I have seen and used Mozilla and Netscape. Had to get them for a friend who wanted them. They are good, but why do I need to use them? IE works, it does what I need it to do. I can view webpages, store favourites, what else do Mozilla, Netscape etc do that I need?
Do sites look different with Mozilla etc? Do they offer any functionality over IE in terms of viewing a page? Probably not. All I need is to look at a page and thats what IE does.
From what I have seen of Mozilla and Netscape, which actually both look the same they dont offer much more than IE. Ok you can customize them, Mozilla 1.6 has IRC chat, newsgroups which I already have dedicated programs for. A pop up blocker which my firewall can deal with.

IE only works because ignorant sods like you lot force web-designers to cripple their products especially, because whether or not your website follows official design guidelines, incompatibility with IE means 90% of your audience can't access your site. So you see websites like argos.co.uk turning away browsers that properly support web standards because they incorrectly render the bastardised code the website had to be written in.
If you ever bothered to try another browser (Rickoss, even tried looking?) you'd never go back. IE is not a top 10 app because you "can't be bothered" to spend your time downloading a better browser.
