Yes another WoW post, I will save you the need to urge your peni towards the keyboard in a desperate attempt to point this out...

Pretty sweet RPG so far, only a couple of hours in. Haven't quite seen why so many people have been fapping like porn monkeys over it yet but have been told by plenty you are no-where near scratching the surface of it yet (which I can believe by the sheer size of it so far).

Chose to be a Dwarf in the end, a Warrior Dwraf with possibly the ugliest face ever. Kicks ass in battle, spent ages at the opening of Dragonmaw fighting the wolves and troggs to level up a bit. One thing that is decent is that everyone who I have come across so far has been pretty helpful and not even slightly c*ck faced.

Interface is sweet, the layout was easy enough to get to grips with after the initial "this is just one area, wtf?!". The environments make Lisa Riley's mu*f saddle looking like a toddler's paddling pool.

Controls are easy, the magic areas aren't even slightly geeky from what I have come across so far, just drag it onto the bar and click it when you need it. Haven't really bought much yet but that too seems simple enough to use and from what I gather it nails other MMORPG's for its less geeky approach. For a first time MMORPG'er' I have founs it fack easy to get into and nothing like what I expected (only in a good way though).

Visually it is sweet, the soundtrack is awesome, the presentation is spot on etc etc *fap fap*

Wish I didn't have work tomorrow but life's a b*tch!

Hit a real barstuard of a bug earlier today, got my Rogue up to level 11 and then died in a place I couldn't get out of, had to delete the character in the end and start again.

Been playing Swat 4 since then so I guess another day of levelling up today!

Got back to Astranaar and went AFK for a fag and cuppa.
Came back to find the largest raid I've seen so far in progress, 30+ Horde with nobody below level 35 that I saw.
They killed everybody, even NPCs. Including the Hippogryph master, which stranded people.
Excuse the screens, but had to take them whilst dead

Eventually I managed to flee and went South, down a mine-tunnel and popped out in Stonetalon Mountains where I saw that waterwheel.
Scouted around and saw a Horde hitting spiders. With the sore memory of Astranaar still stinging, I started to attack before realising he was lv15 and I'm 31. Had to stop myself, I dont like it done to me and I'll be damned if I'm going to wipe out somebody half my strength.
Then his mate turned up, also low level.
We danced and then I left.

Ended up at some Keep where I logged out.

Like Pand said, everybody's game is different. Some people avoid fights and engage in trade whilst others grind mercilessly so they can go and attack Horde players.
Me? I do quests, dance with Horde and occasionally get butchered by Horde attack parties.
But I had sweet, sweet revenge today.

I got murdered by a lv29 Rogue. Returned to my corpse to find him and a warlock there, so didn't spawn. Warlock left, Rogue picked herbs.
I resurrect and chased that sneaky assface over half of the map, letting Dave bite him until I smote him.
Then danced on his corpse.
My first revenge kill against a similar level Horde and it was goooood

Bah, I only stumbled on it by accident though (I always seem to find these things by accident) although I do admit I did get kind of excited seeing all that lovely armour just sitting there waiting to be bought, but still out reach.

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/pvp/pvp-article-part2.html Scroll down a bit and see the kind of stuff you’ll be able to acquire, then weep that you’ll probably never be able to use or afford it ;(

Yikes, probably no chance of me reaching the high levels then, but I’d just be happy getting half way there all the same.

I actually found where the Officers Barracks are in Orgrimmar, thinking it to be an instance zone at first (seeing as it has a portal). The guard outside even has the first sets of equipment you’ll be able to acquire once the honour system is up and running.

Ohhh yes. As I've said, it's frightenly addictive. The last RPG I played to the end was Planescape : Torment. That doesn't even come close. Spent an afternoon fishing, collecting herbs, nailing / getting nailed by horde, meeting people, helping people out.

Relaxing if you want it to be, hard combat if not.

Genius game.

The eight cans aren't helping hand/eye co-ordinatin mind........

[edit] As to the Mac question, can't help there.....

What other game left you do that? Everyones experience with it is volumes different from someone elses.....

I've never found a game that's hooked me so much, it as satisfying, and basically so damn fun to play.

I didn't use the word "masterpiece" in relation to Half Life 2, although it was close, but WoW is possibly the finest product I've ever seen.
