Pretty sweet RPG so far, only a couple of hours in. Haven't quite seen why so many people have been fapping like porn monkeys over it yet but have been told by plenty you are no-where near scratching the surface of it yet (which I can believe by the sheer size of it so far).
Chose to be a Dwarf in the end, a Warrior Dwraf with possibly the ugliest face ever. Kicks ass in battle, spent ages at the opening of Dragonmaw fighting the wolves and troggs to level up a bit. One thing that is decent is that everyone who I have come across so far has been pretty helpful and not even slightly c*ck faced.
Interface is sweet, the layout was easy enough to get to grips with after the initial "this is just one area, wtf?!". The environments make Lisa Riley's mu*f saddle looking like a toddler's paddling pool.
Controls are easy, the magic areas aren't even slightly geeky from what I have come across so far, just drag it onto the bar and click it when you need it. Haven't really bought much yet but that too seems simple enough to use and from what I gather it nails other MMORPG's for its less geeky approach. For a first time MMORPG'er' I have founs it fack easy to get into and nothing like what I expected (only in a good way though).
Visually it is sweet, the soundtrack is awesome, the presentation is spot on etc etc *fap fap*
Wish I didn't have work tomorrow but life's a b*tch!
Druids, IMO, are better than rogues because they give you the features of a rogue (at level 20 - cat form), a Warrior (level 10 - bear form) and are good healers too. Multitalented and good enough to solo with.
Most Druid attacks are ranged spells though - you need to shapeshift to use Bear/Cat melee moves. It's a pretty interesting class which gives you variation in how you want to tackle things. Want to go in all stealthy? be a cat. Want to charge in and dish out a beating? go for a bear. Want to deal magic attacks from a distance? Stay in Night Elf form.
EDIT - Druids can also shapeshift into Aquatic form, for quicker underwater travel with no breath restraints, and Travel form for quicker land travel.
If I can pull myself away from Swat 4 I will try and crack on get up to a decent enough level so I can explore different areas. I seem to have been stuck around Darnassuss/Dark Shore etc for waaaaay too long now, getting a little tired of the initial levelling up.

Same. About a quarter of the bar left until 23
*rubs hands*
Soon I can wear helmets
> What level is everybody?
Currently 22.
I haven't come across anyone like that yet - there was one person who was pretty close to having a nervous breakdown because I tanked for a bit as a Bear - they seemed to think that a Druid is a healer and nothing else. I wouldn't have minded, but nobody needed healing at the time as we could all handle ourselves.
Joined an excellent group last night for the Deadmines though, really sorted bunch.
I was herb collecting in Loch Modan. Heading towards a Mageroyal plant, I caught a stealthed rouge out of the corner of my eye. Attacking a spider I got: -
Jamez yells “[F]er!”
Me – “Smoke me”
Jamez – “At least I got it u [f]ing n00b”
Me –“ Huh? Got what?”
Jamez – “The Mageroyal. [c]”
Me – “Whinge, whinge, whinge, grow up child”
Jamez – “heh, perps i will”
James – “ u [c]”
Me – “Shouldn’t you be playing Counterstrike with that attitude?”
Jamez – “why arennt u?”
Jamez – “U should lick my ass”
Me – “If you’re so worried about a single Mageroyal plant, it’ll reappear in ohhh, about two minutes”
Jamez – “I wud, but ur fat ass is in my way”
Me – “I didn’t see you mate. Calm down”
Jamez – “that tells me all I need 2 know about u. uv just owned yourelf. and you cant type fast”
Me – “whatever. Bye”
Jamez – “lik my ass”
Jamez – “[c]”
Jamez – “fatass”
(Jamez gets the honour of being my first ignore, so if there’s any more, I’m unaware)
Charming. First occurrence of something like this I’ve seen. If I nipped in and somehow managed to get a unique quest item (not possible I know) then perhaps It’d be justified.
So, in summary. If anyone comes across Jamez in their travels, pass on that Pandaemonium has promoted him to Jamez, lord of petulant tantrums+5
Cheers. :D
That sounds so fun. But I bet those are stupid source type clans / guilds where you have to pay like a fiver each month to stay in it (cough, UKOC).
So what, do yee all have little guilds, like?
How weird
