Just interested to know how you guys and gals deal with stress. Do tell.

It's going pretty good thanks. I can spell out words now if I dont know the sign as I know the whole alphabet, and can ask basic questions and answer them. Can count to 20 too.

It was meant to be temporary, but things changed on Tuesday after i got more test results back, the type of operation had to be changed and its an operation where there is a guaranteed 100% hearing loss in the ear. It's called the Translab approach if anyone's interested.

I'm not willing at all, unfortunately it just comes packaged with the condition.

I'm still not 100% certain even to go through with the operation.

drink, play computer game, sleep, punch the wall, use stress relieves, failing that, bite your own hand.

Heh, I do that in the shower sometimes, and at my cat (obviously without shouting, just pulling stupid faces and finger-pointing) who just looks at me in a bemused way, which is great. :D

Most people go up a level of excitedness when stressed, I go down one, I think my body goes "you've reached your stress limit, so it's time to calm the **** down".

It's the sort of thing that has made me sit in an exam room taking the first twenty minutes of the exam to slowly finish a chocolate bar and drink a coke. :)

That's a strange thought. Sounds as though your life will change completely for good now. :( Just because of an ear. That sucks. Hoping you're keeping your optimism high, girl.
