It's going pretty good thanks. I can spell out words now if I dont know the sign as I know the whole alphabet, and can ask basic questions and answer them. Can count to 20 too.

It was meant to be temporary, but things changed on Tuesday after i got more test results back, the type of operation had to be changed and its an operation where there is a guaranteed 100% hearing loss in the ear. It's called the Translab approach if anyone's interested.

I'm not willing at all, unfortunately it just comes packaged with the condition.
I'm still not 100% certain even to go through with the operation.

Heh, I do that in the shower sometimes, and at my cat (obviously without shouting, just pulling stupid faces and finger-pointing) who just looks at me in a bemused way, which is great. :D
It's the sort of thing that has made me sit in an exam room taking the first twenty minutes of the exam to slowly finish a chocolate bar and drink a coke. :)
