Definitely Frank Lampard at the moment! But Steven Gerrard always seems to play better for England. Still Lampard though, he has to be player of the year.

If you'd have been down to the Bridge at any time this season, you'd know that we do rely on him. Chelsea don't exist without Lampard and JT, and this has been proved by Lampard being ever-present this year, playing all 44 games. If you'd have been down to the Bridge at any time this season, you'd know that we do rely on him. Chelsea don't exist without Lampard and JT, and this has been proved by Lampard being ever-present this year, playing all 44 games. Lampard is surrounded by a multi-million pound squad, some of which are world class players. It is much easier to play well in a team like that and become a better player which Lampard has done but Chelsea are not dependant on him, they can afford to leave him out and still play well and win.
On the other hand, Gerrard is surrounded by lesser quality players and he still performs on a consistant level and has done for several years. For this reason he has work double hard to keep performing week in week out and that he does. Liverpool would be a much lesser team without him.

Not true, in his last season he was arguably their best player and since then has improved greatly. As good as Gerrard though? Not a chance, not yet anyway.
