I say good luck to Steven Gerrard, as far as captains go he will be a better influence than Michael Owen.

Gerrard is only captain for lack of a better option, if terry had five or 6 more caps it would have been him, but you cant make some one with single figures of caps captain!

Gerrard's been made captain for the Sweden game, so a big vote of confidence from the manager and it probably show's his preference too.
Interesting stat i saw today that England have NEVER lost with Gerrard in the team. Anymore conclusive?
