Today my dad found a wallet today containing £400 + a few hundred Euros + Credit Cards and usual wallet stuff. He found it outside a shop so he walked in and with the details in the wallet discovered that it belonged to a regular customer of this shop. So my dad left his details incase the man wanted to thank him or whatever. And about 10 minutes ago, this man calls and thanks him etc.
I started thinking about what I would have done in the same situation as my dad. Would I have gone in the shop and given the wallet in? Would you?

I would like to think that I would hand it in, but if I found £400, I think I would take it.
I found £70 in a chemist once. I foolishly handed it to the lady behind the counter. No doubt she got a nice bonus that night.
Working in a shop, I'm obviously gunna do the right thing if I find money. I'm always concious as to whether or not I'm being watched. But my employers (or now former employers) are happy that I hand in money.

right, so some of us would take it, some of us would hand it in, and then there's the ones that would take anything even if they saw the person drop it.
Perhaps if there was an address or phone number inside then most people would return it to the owner. Actually I think I might write a little note for my wallet now with my details just in case I ever lose mine. Losing a few pounds I don't really mind but the hassle of canceling and getting new cards I could do without.
