Anyways, can you tell me what the difference between an Intel Celeron and a Pentium 4 processor is please?
I want to buy a laptop, and was thinking of one of these two.
The bottom one is like a hundred quid more and I want to know if it's really worth it for an extra 10 gig on the hard drive and a pentium 4 thingy whatsit.

So is it really really really worth it?

Still plays nice and fast though.
Sony VIAOs seems to be pretty slow though from what I've seen. Some of the really good ones run like 486s, yet others work fine...

No wonder yours runs Halo without a problem!!
I won't be playing Halo on mine anyhoo, C&C Generals is probably the most taxking game I'll have on it.
That's the closest one to what I got. I didn't get it from SR though, for £1027 I got this. (Back in September.)

ah well, I could really use a laptop myself :(
edit : Actually it's not the same as the one you want, it's a better model with a bigger an inch more screen and possibly a few other extras for exactly £743.87 - but then this was the first supplier I came across.
Which one do you have Phil?
Even Halo works pretty well with very few jumps...
I can play Vice City on 1400 x 1050 too with no jumpyness...
The Special Reserve Iridium ones are pretty good, that's what I've got.

I agree.
A ferrari in a skoda chassis would be like a 1gig duron overclocked to 1.6-1.7

I would have gone for 'A Skoda engine in a Ferrari Chassis' - Looks good but doesn't have the power.
That's me though.
