Im really looking forward to getting my copy tomorrow. Im a bit worried about the specs needed though, ive only got an AMD K6-2 400. Ive got 128Mb Ram and a voodoo 3 so im hoping it will work ok.

I am tired of spanking own Baboon bum and really want Black & White! I was going to choose it for my Gameaday prize but a sudden urge of heart made me get Worms World Party, I now regret it in ways, as Black & White looks a classic!

I'll write a review and post at lunchtime, but for now...
Started playing at 7pm, was almost in tears at 2am with tiredness and the knowledge I had to be at work in a few hours.
I finally turned it off, had a shower and some toast and now I'm at work.
I have a 1gig Athalon, 128mb, Nvidia TNT2 and it runs like a dream.
No slowdown or jerky scrolling, perfect graphics and sound with normal souncard.
I played the 1st "level" (island) for 6hrs straight, just learning the stuff necessary and training your creature.
It's...I hesitate to use this word because I'm a bloke with a beard and tattoos....but it is a beautiful game.
Picturesque Island, you can scroll right out to see whole island in long shot and zoom in to see a worm in an apple with no problem.
Days and nights, fireflies, fires burning, rain sometimes, birds flapping about.
And your creature....it'll make you feel bad when you choose him, the other two that you don't put your mouse over sit and look sad, make pathetic noises and try to appear forlorn. They whistle and clap when you highlight them, big smiles and dancing.
Enough of the "mini-review", I'll do the proper one later.
Suffice to say, if you are thinking about getting this game, do it today. If you're considering getting a PC, get it and let this be the 1st thing you play.
My creature is 19, very happy, obese, wants to please everyone, greedy, not lazy.
Has learned how to cast a couple of spells to please the villagers, loves to uproot trees and chase women with them, thinks the beachball is the greatest invention in the world and spends minutes kicking it from one side of his pen to the other.
He knows to poop in the mushroom grove and not to eat it.
And he realises that hurling cows into huts is a bad thing.
And I do feel bad for spanking him, I just can't do it.
But when he ate my animal trainer, I had to.
Black and White is everything you've heard and so much more.
