Ah-ha!!! Problem sorted!

It seems 3dfx had released some updated drivers, without telling me, isnt this why we register products?

Anyway B&W is working, and its amazing. I've only been playing 10 minutes and ive alreay dropped a big rock on someones house and thrown somebody into the sea, wicked!!

Unfortunately ive got to go off to work now :(
But i will be playing this alot over the weekend!!

Ok, im not impressed!!!

After anticipating the moment for weeks, i get home, install the game only for it to crash during the opening cut scene. Repeatedly.

I reinstalled and tried again, same thing happens.

I've emailed EA and im waiting for their reply. Only thing is, my 'net connection at home is up the creek, so i've had to come into uni to email them. Its been a pants 24hrs!!!

If anyone has specs the same as mine, or lower, id suggest you wait til i hear from EA before buying B&W. I'll post the reply up here as soon as i can.

My specs are: AMD K6-2 400, 128Mb RAM, 16Mb Voodoo 3 and DirectX 8.

Well, after work tonight I'm playing a gig so I won't get back home until gone midnight, and considering I didn't sleep last night, what's the best solution?

Book tomorrow off.

I can't believe I want to play this so bad I'm taking a day off work just to continue and have a mate over as well.

What am I...12?

Curse you Molyneux for making such a brilliant game.

Your Honour, one tip:
If you decide to help the hippie with the singing stones, there are 3 dotted about that don't work.
My advice is to tap them before you carry them back, see if they chime.

But you don't have to do any tasks if you dont want to, they only assist you and give you greater powers.
It's totally up to you what you do and when.

Now, let's get work out of the way, play a good gig and spend until 6am playing with my fat, happy monkey

Dude, in all seriousness, allow at least 5-6hrs when you 1st start playing it.

The first time you begin, there is a tutorial that lasts about 30mins, but you will need it.
Then many hours just exploring and doing things, completing little tasks and being so happy that your creature learns things.
I thought I was doing well, had the basics and then went through to the next island.
That is when the game starts proper, all your skills are needed and your aides still return to help.

I'm starting another game tonight with the tiger and I'm going hell for leather to make an evil one.

My ape is fat, happy and too helpful.
He got his @rse kicked in a fight and refused to battle again.

Ah, the thrill of having a game that is so cool, so unique and so much fun.

Ive got minimum spec so hopefull i should be alright.

Im SO looking forward to this game now, but i wish it had bee released next friday, because then all my uni deadlines will have passed.

Do you think i could sue lionhead for failing my degree as i was too busy playing their game? It could be quite good publicity for them anyway......

Ok, review posted under the game listing.

Your Honour, it scales down to the system you have, although there is a minimum spec of 64mb, 350khz.

If you have a decent enough system, you have never seen anything as detailed, immersive and genuinely unique.

It's almost 11am, I finish work at 5pm, playing a gig so won't be home until gone midnight tonight...but I know that I'll be up most of the night again.

I expected B&W to be pretty good but not like this.

Trust me, I'm the 1st person to sneer and put down a game with this much hype (check my MGS2 demo rants of yore), but I really cannot find fault with this game.

When you do get it, have plenty of Pro-Plus handy and cancel your social life for a few days.
