(He also said Lampard, but while this is also true, I actually rate Lampard.)
As for comparing him with Steven Gerrard, I don't think I properly could. Gerrard is also an excellent player, and his only disadvantage is that he has quite a temper and can be pretty scummy at times with all his two-footed challenges and stamping.
Both of them are brilliant, as is Paul Scholes, who I suppose has to fit in there somewhere as well. It kills me to say this, but if England had a midfielder on the left (ALAN THOMPSON, SVEN, YOU MORON!!!), they'd have the best midfield in the world.
Oh, and as for comparing Henry to any of these players: heh.
>Some performances this season have been up amazing ilk but last season, no.
You don't seem to be understanding this one. Lampard was fantastic last season and in the last game of the season, he completely outplayed Gerrard, who got sent off for a disgusting challenge on graeme le saux.
You can't compare Lampard with Henry because they're completely different players. Henry is a fantastic player and has been for the past few seasons and will be for the next few seasons. But that doesn't mean that Lampard is not allowed to be a fantastic player. If you had watched him week in week out since last august, then you can put him down. But the fact of the matter is, you haven't. He is an amazing player and the moment, and will hopefully continue to improve.
There's no need for the word prospect in this argument. Lampard should be in the England starting line up. I'm not saying to replace Gerrard, but Lampard deserves a starting place, and couyld easily come in on the left, or take the place of Scholes, who hasnt scored for England in 2yrs, which seeing as his job is to score, is not a great record.
Good luck with your new job!
As it stands though at this moment in time he isn't in the same league as Steven Gerrard.
