Indeed.
Of the 5 games United have lost, Rio wasn't banned for 4 of them. To blame his ban for United's current defensive frailties is clutching at straws somewhat.

I'm not if you read the other post i put you'd see i blamed not only the players themselves, but the board and Fergie

Did Rio forget the test? Yes
Did the testers who were at the ground stop him leaving? No
Did Rio offer to come back? Yes
Could the testers be bothered to wait at the ground for the proper time they were meant to be there so Rio could get back to the ground IN TIME for the test? No
Did the FA charge that Man City player who did the same thing with the same punishment? No
And answer me why he got a longer ban then Edgar Davids and Jaap Stam who were actually found GUILTY of having drugs in there system
Therefore - stupid idiotic ban

Oh, doping charges - silly, yes?
Of course losing our best defender to a stupid idiotic FA ban doesn't help or the fact we've got a board who are too busy arguing over a race horse to actually see the areas the team needed strengthening and splash the cash to get the players that would best suit us. Also Fergie's insistance on playing players out of position or keep sticking them on the bench when they're in the middle of a run of form (Forlan) also doesn't exactly help the ship keep on line.
If we don't get a proper right winger and a good centre back in the summer you can give the title back to Highbury again next season.
