+ The game is said to be 2 - 3 times *larger* than OOT.
+ Link will grow up as the game progresses
+ The starting town acts as an introduction where you wear normal clothes and have to round up cows on your horse within a time limit.
And some new screenshots. http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=7650.
Nintendo, a release date of tomorrow please.
No time limit though, that sucks.
Dunno why, but there you go.
Windfall was not lifeless, Strafio. It was excellent.
Of course, it doesn't come close to Clock Town, because that was basically the whole game - and the time aspect added so much more to it.
But as far as normal towns go, Windfall is good example of how to do things.
Back to the topic, though...
Clock Town was fantastic. The music was great, the builder's danced around like gay's (:D), cuckoo's(!)- it felt like a town, and not a general collection of people... the same can't be said for Windfall.
In all seriousness, though, I have VERY high hopes for the new Zelda. I was one of the few that wasn't against WW... but I still felt let-down by it in the end. Don't get me wrong, it deserves its place as a Zelda game, but it wasn't... it wasn't the Zelda that we know and love, and have done for the last two decades or so. It was more like the "Story of Zelda" as opposed to the legend. But this one, though, I honestly can't wait. There's three games I really, REALLY want atm- Zelda, Fire Emblem and Advance Wars.... DS. The same can't be said about the GameCube version... that looks utter pants, to be honest.
IS should have been developing it, not some third-rate UK developer (Kaji? Koji? meh).
Well I was ready for something to atleast come close to touching Majora so perhaps I was a little more disappointed with Windfall than it deserved.
I still don't get why Tilt talked about Windfall when raving about THE Zelda down though...
Still, the point is that the new Zelda promises improvements in the AI and Interactivity department. Let's see if Nintendo pull this one off! ;-)
(and everything that Chipseh just said too! ;-))
I'm intrigued as to what direction the Zelda series is going to take from this point onwards... I just saw the Madden trailer for the next gen consoles... :O
Now, imagine Zelda...
But last time I played I decided to just work out this notebook thingy, and then I started to like it a lot more. I've got it all sussed now, so after exams I will complete it in the holidays.
Minor Spoilers, just confirming Zelda & Ganon are in it, there's some big aspect like the sailing in WW we've yet to see, and that you can fish and glide on chickens.
Oh, and that the cool A-button command when you fight is back and enhanced. Forgotten it's name now.
