"Processor Problem?"

[Also posted in pc forum but nobody seems to be posting at the moment]

My computer just froze (which happens to most machines from time to time) so I manually restarted it and came to the main desktop. I tried to open Internet Explorer to come back online, but nothing happened...

I waited a bit and tried again. Nothing.

I then opened word just to check stuff was still working. Word opened.

Then a couple of seconds later everything else I had clicked (explorer windows and messenger) all popped up at once.

Is this a lag with my processor or something? I have just had an AMD 2.6+ installed, so I assume it should be rather fast.

Any ideas whats up with this tart of a machine I am running?

I did that last year, just scrapped my 7-8 year old hardware and splashed out on some new spanking stuff. Most extravegant was £400 on a grapphics card but it was definitley worth it.

Not hotmail doesn't work for me

The internet settings are messed up I think.

I hate computers so much.

*sigh*

Ah bloody hell.

I'm going to bin this machine.

If its never happened up until now it could be one of these problems:

a)Virus
B)Spyware
c)Windows XP eating your RAM

The processor part is just a complete bonus as you paid for it to run at 2.1GHZ so if I were you I would research your RAM and change it to the highest setting you can.

right, well, if this slowing problem was because of my processor not running as fast, it would have happened from the start, and not just kicked in now, am I right?

I basically want to figure out what the problem is now.

Why?
Is someone annoying you?

Nah sorry. Scrapped MSN ages a go.
