I used to love doing sport especially PE and playing footie almost every morning, break, at lunch and sometimes during the summer after school I even did quite well in those bleep tests we did I remember quite clearly and i've gone off drinking fizzy drinks and eating crisps which helps but it's quite possible being active in the past has kept me in good shape.

Cross-trainers are indeed good, especially if you have one with all the settings for inclines and such.

I would say without a doubt the hardest workout that I fit into my week is my circuit, 1 hour of non-stop pain.

That depends what sort of shape you're in and how fast you run. You can't hope to burn off much more than 500/hour if you're weight lifting, which you can beat even if you're only running at around 5/6mph. Any faster and of course you can burn off a lot more.

Still, I reckon the best calorie burner is the cross-trainer machine. You can easily burn over 1000 calories an hour on that.
