Your maximum heart rate is supposed to be 220 minus your age.
That's what men's health told me a few hours ago, anyway.
:^)
My "ideal" should be 13-19% for my height.
I have a friend whose is 23% and he's not really overweight.
Its not like im fat or anything. My body mass index is 18.
It will be an uphill struggle trying to get that down.
:(
Most gyms will have full-fitness assessments which will tell you, amongst other things, your percentage body fat. Failing that you can buy electronic machines which will measure it too. You'll be suprised how low 10% really is.
As for building up the abs, there are plenty of ways to do it. As a general rule, whatever feels like it's hurting you the most is having the most effect. I wouldn't bother with crunches, but everything else seems quite good. Especially the stuff you can do with a swiss ball. As with any muscle-building routine, don't do it more often than every other day.
You need to do a little thing called exercise.
VB, seeing as you seem to know what you are talking about, what is the best way of getting back the 6 pack? I know if I could be bothered to use that gym membership I could ask there, but seeing as I only ever went once I wouldn't want to look completely clueless.
Although I can still push my heart rate to over 180 bpm with out dying, which I am fairly chuffed about.
