Me and my girl constantly have a laugh at their expense in Town - they're all over the place and it's hilarious because they all look the same.
I don't think there is an exact definition of a Townie, but my idea of one is:
The good for nothing losers that hang around shops;
wearing Adidas Tracksuit bottoms;
tucked into rugby socks;
wearing brown or sandy Rockports (possibly fake);
A Berghaus (or cheapo alternative) jacket;
20 scarves and a Burberry cap;
About 12 sovereign rings on each hand (again, probably fake/cheapo), maybe covered up with bog-standard Thinsulate (or, yes you got it, cheapo alternatives) gloves;
A Nokia 8210 (although the 'trend' is changing towards 8310's and 3650's. And Sharp GX10's);
A pack of 10 Lambert & Butler;
A can of Skol/WKD Irn Bru and;
A severe attitude problem.
