Oh, and one more thing, Nike and Addidas isnt what the proper scals wear, the "official dress code" is lacoste, usually in bright colours that makes them look queer.
I have this certificate to prove it, signed by God.
Look *points*
It's universal - Teen Tribalism.
What makes me laugh are the metal/skateboarders/goths etc that sneer and say "All dress the same and just hang about doing nothing"...whilst all wearing baggy shorts or combat trousers and t-shirts with bands on, hanging about doing nothing but with a skateboard.
It's just a part of growing up, you find a tribe that best suits you and you seek anonymity and companionship by adopting the rituals and costumes of your particular tribe. A desire to "belong" somewhere, to share experiences and seek peers and you will vary your behaviour/appearance to better fit in.
And then you emerge from this fog of puberty and realise it doesn't matter how many pints you can drink or how loud your assface car stereo can get.
You'll stop measuring yourself by how many fights/beers/curries you can pull off in a night and calm down.
You'll sell that retarded penile extension you call a "hot hatch" and stop coralling outside bright neon at night like illiterate moths.
You'll look back at pictures of yourself and think "Christ I looked stupid, what was I thinking?"
It's just growing up.
And the best part of all? You think you know everything aged 16-19, when in fact your life has so far consisted of school/college/university and maybe a part-time job. But you'll say "Hey, I'm different" and pretend that somehow you *do* know everything in the world and it's just everybody else that doesn't "get it".

arresting them's one thing EB, but wouldn't you feel so much better if you could pummel them with a big bad police stick while screaming "STOP BEING CRAP" at them?? to be fair, most of them will end up in jail again anyways, whereas how many times will something that bizarre happen to them? :)

Can't speak for your area, in fact your area probably cant speak at all unless it's a special area, but enough about your special area. We arrest for those kinds of things(ish).

hehe... painfully accurate :)
that site is wonderful, by the way. half the images could've been taken straight from Portsmouth city centre on any given saturday :-\
