Just finished reading the new NOM, which has a huge article on this. As a huge fan of the 3D Sonic games, this looks amazing. Plus you can choose to get weapons and blow random stuff up. No boring treasure hunting sections, no walkers, no fishing, no (or absolute minimum) Amy-chasing-Sonic rubbish, just high-speed levels and complete destruction of anything that gets in your way.

I love games.

You don't have to use the guns. Just running through the levels at a high speed and destroying the enemies the old way works too.

Sonic Heroes was great! Sure, it had it's flaws, and Team Rose was annoying, but it was a solid platformer. Still, it's like Marmite...

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were fairly good Dreamcast games.
The GameCube ports were just as good but didn't really the console to its full potential.
Sonic Heroes was, if I'm being generous, crap.

I've no doubt that Shadow the Hedgehog will rate similar in my books. It may suprise me, but I doubt it from what I've seen so far. After all, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 had guns...to a small degree.

My god. Why would such terrible games create a 'fan'?
