Just finished reading the new NOM, which has a huge article on this. As a huge fan of the 3D Sonic games, this looks amazing. Plus you can choose to get weapons and blow random stuff up. No boring treasure hunting sections, no walkers, no fishing, no (or absolute minimum) Amy-chasing-Sonic rubbish, just high-speed levels and complete destruction of anything that gets in your way.

I love games.

And he'd have to talk about it for hours too.

Maybe that's part of Robotnik's evil plan?

There's this technology available to make zombies look rather zombie-looking, wheels round, boobs bounce and to be able to roll around in a ball. All examples of the rather standard effects possible on GameCube.

Yet Sega can't seem to get a ring to look round on Shadow the Hedgehog. Since when did rings have 8 sides?

Apparantly you get to choose either Sonic or Robotnik (Not Eggman, fools) to be your enemy.

Please let there be an Amy option.

But technically, it's not a Sonic game. It may feature Sonic at some point but it's a Shadow game. Shadow is a much darker, mysterious, edgier character, which is probably why they have taken this route.

From the info I read, the different storyline paths increase it's replayability, it's supposed to be lightning quick, the guns are optionable so you don't have to use them if you prefer a more 'Sonic' style approach.

It seems okay. It's only about half finished as well, so I wait before I pass judgement on it.

:)

Seriously though, I respect what you said about giving things a chance before saying anything bad about it, but in my opinion it looks awful.. it's not what Sonic's about and it looks to be Sega turning the series more mainstream and that's not what I personally want.

I'm in a coma? I assure you I'm very much alive and coherent. I would have thought my ability to type would have made that obvious.

You're entitled to your opinion on the game but I usually like to give things a chance before I say anything bad about it.
