Surprise hit of the year for me. What did you think?

Hmmm. The Hulk. Sounds humourous dosen't it?
And as for your theory about the camera angles that makes no sense (to me anyway). It would of told us so much more to gain reaction shots, CU and so on instead of split screen of the side of people who are standing right next to each other.

They used multiple camera shots in some cases to show psychologically what it was like from different peoples viewpoints. At one point it was a tad disorientating, but I never felt it detracted from the story or action, and it's nice to see film makers experimenting with new ways of presenting the action.
No way I'll take it back, I thought it was excellent. Although X-men was impressive to watch, ultimately all the characters were one dimensional and only there to use their powers in the way they were depicted in the comic books and cartoons. No effort was made to flesh out the characters, and it just ended up a brainless CGI fest. Hulk told a compelling story for the most part, and when the action did start it was classy and polished.
You must have watched a different film :D
What really got to me though was all the different unecessary camera shots! Like when two people are talking directly to each other they do a split screen. WHY?!? That's rarely used when people are on the phone anymore let alone when they are in the same room. All those random shots gave me a headache.

No, the great category being films like The Rock, Con Air, Ronin, Once Upon a Time in China, Evil Dead, Hellraiser Colour of money etc, bloody amazing being the likes of Hard Boiled, Heat, Mean Streets, Casino, Goodfellas, Bullet in the Head, Fight Club, Blade 2, Halloween, Night of the Living Dead, Raging Bull etc. Hulk and Deep Blue Sea fall short of what I class as the great to watch category but still remain watchable films that offer more than you might expect. Some films are great to watch from a spectacle point of view where as others are much deeper, much more involving and fall into a category of their own.

Oh the irony.

Yeah, the dog fight was excellent, I particularly liked it when he slapped that poodle.
The bit starting where he escaped and ended in san francisco was simply stunning. One of those 'grin to yourself' sort of sequences.
I liked the way they really took the time to build the character up though, rather than just going for the 'here's a guy, watch him turn green and smash up a few tanks' sort of approach.
I look forward to Hulk 2.

Christ, how specific do you want to get? They pretty much mean the same.

What? I'm allowed an opinion, aren't I?

Guess you're wrong, then.
Donnie Darko is a good film. Enjoyable but overrated. 6-7/10.
