Surely these two muppets should have gone too! Bloody gooners. They both raised thier hands to Anelka and should have gone.

Rubbish. Every club has the same responsibility.
What I find amusing is the way the ManYoo fans are so full of advice!
As I recall, it's not that long ago it was your team brawling every time a decision went against you, hounding referees and assaulting players and fans.
And I say again, it is not Arsenal that were at fault here. It was not an Arsenal player who was sent off. Had Anelka not raised his hands to Cole, this thread wouldn't even exist. Cole would have had a yellow card, and that would have been the end of it.
Arsenal are in the limelight more than Wolves (for example), and therefore, a lot more public attention is warranted because of their status. People would rather know about Arsenal than Wolves.
If Robbie Williams started taking cannabis, ecstasy, and other various narcotics, then that would be front page news. But take your average bum off the street who does exactly the same, then it's hardly going to warrant a slot on Prime-Time ITN, is it?
> I see brawls happening quite often on the Premiership which they don't
> follow up on?!
Indeed. See it at least every other week, and the only time it's splashed across the papers is when Arsenal are involved.
I can't remember who was involved, but there was quite a fracas shown on The Premiership a few weeks ago between two teams and it wasn't all over the back pages the next day.

> and he gets away with only a friggin' yellow!!
Ashley did nothing wrong, at least in terms of 'violent conduct'. His yellow was for picking up the ball and walking off with it - stupid, as it was Arsenal's kick-off and they could have waited until they were ready.
Yes, I know he himself is saying in the press today that he should have got a red, but I don't agree.
> Arsénal's second brawl; again, `Live in Manchester´.
Err - it was at Highbury?
I agree about video evidence, but...
> I mean, look at Henry's goal, last night. As breath-taking as it was,

Not at all. The ref stated after the match that he believed Campbell got a touch on the ball. They showed after the game on Sky - using a very good replay angle - that Campbell DID win the ball, and the ref made the correct decision. There was no free-kick.
Had City been able to question it, the evidence would have shown quite clearly that it was right.
> Anyone know if it's possible to write to them???
You can mail the FA via their website, but don't bother. I have on three occasions - quite politely - and they never, ever reply.
Why??? Maybe the referee didn't see the arm he swung back at Anelka (just missing him) in retaliation due to the crowd of players around the 2, but he was hardly an "innocent" party in Arsénal's second brawl; again, `Live in Manchester´.
If anything, he deserved the sending-off more-so than Anelka!
But, again, the referee was scared to do what was right in fear of his own reputation (amongst Arsénal fans) in the future! Yes, they do have the power... But, when are the going to accept the fact that THEY are not what matters, and that, what they do must act in the best-interests of the game itself! Again, we see an example of how referees cannot do their jobs, alone.
Not only that, but they cannot keep-up. All this talk about how video-evidence would "disrupt the flow of the game"... Well, something clearly HAS to be done - and nobody can ignore it for much longer, no matter how big they think they are!! It's getting to a rediculous state where teams' end-of-season fate is being assisted by the number of mistakes and referees are making and what they're just not seeing.
No matter who wins the Title at the end of this campaign, I'm sure there will be a large number of games where you can look back and say "that could've been different". I mean, look at Henry's goal, last night. As breath-taking as it was, it just shouldn't have stood. Man City should've had a free-kick - but, of course, the ref' missed it. And yet, after that goal, Anelka went on to score.
Who knows what could've happened after that, then... While Arsénal may've gone-on to score a second anyway, if only City had been given the foul, Arsénal could've lost a valuable two-points; instead of using them to move back-above United.
I mean, if video-evidence is good-enough for the FA and co. to use WEEKS-later infront of their disciplinary panels, really, what is so-wrong about using it in-game?!? So what if we lose all of the 45-seconds it should take the ref' to say `Yes´ or `No´... Within that time, tempers could also be cooled-down by hot-headed cheaters who do not fully deserve to wear the England No.3 shirt!
Seriously, I'm thinking of writing to the FA - no matter what the heck I can or cannot do; or what, in turn, they can do to me... It's just getting to such a serious state, now. Something's happening in every-single top-flight game - especially at the top!
Anyone know if it's possible to write to them???

Won't help if it's pelting down with rain... although he made a great first touch.
He'll probably start vs Middlesborough so they better watch out! Oh and i think Vieira might start aswell.
Cole's is muppet but his yellow card was correct for provoking an opponent.
We have afros and moustaches =P
