My beloved original Settlers game has packed up after 9 years, and I'm really missing playing it. Does anyone know anywhere I can download the original? I can't find it anywhere.

And even then battles were determined on how many bars of gold were in your hut/fortress/tower.

yeah, that is a bit silly, although it makes it fair - you can't win with superior numbers, you have to have extremely well trained knights.

I also have the .MOD files of the Settlers tunes. They were catchy.

Though UFO Enemy Unknown is still better. Erm, maybe.

Actually now that I remember, THe Settlers is one of my most favorite games EVER. And I only have five of those.

My Settlers game works without the CD. It's a good job too considering I lent the CD to someone, who then lent it to someone else, who promptly lost it.

I have not actually played this game, but is it the one where they have those really catchy phrases when you assign them to do certain tasks?
