------

I'm damn pleased to see Johnny Depp nominated for Best Actor.I seriously hope he wins, it's about time something like this got recodnized in the Oscars. His peformance in Pirates was indeed fantastic.

I still think Cold Mountain should've been nominated for Best Picture though, but it's nominated in quite a few other catogories so I'm sure they aren't too dissapointed. Also, there's the absence of Nicole Kidman in the Best Actress catogory, which I thought was kinda funny. Bet She's peeved though.

Lord Of The Rings *again* steals the show with 11 Nominations (I think), including special effects. I really think T3 or one of the Matrix sequels should've been nominated for that, as they had many more consistently good special effects shots.

Overall though, pretty interesting set of nominations.

I wont ask for an example of what else you could be doing in that spare time ;-)
But yeah I am pretty sure its on the end on the DVD.

Much as I love Pixar movies, I think "Belleville Rendez-Vous" should get best animated. Quite unique IMHO.

I never knew it was on the DVD, ack well I wont bother watching it after the credits anyway, even with the fast forward feature. It just takes too long and it's time I could be doing something else damn it.

If you waited till the end of the credits at the cinema you got to see how the sequal starts. I did on one of the 5 times I went to see the film and basically the monkey goes up to the chest, picks up a coin, turns into a zombie monkey in the moonlight then jumps at the camera leaving it open for a sequal which was later confirmed in EMPIRE magazine about a month after it came out.

He was damn entertaining watch. Cool about the second film, hopefully it will be equally brilliant.

Sorry to hear that, although split opinions are to be expected so I don't really mind.

Johnny Deserves it, get over it. Although as long as Bill Murray or Sean Penn don't get it I'm happy. I felt that Sean Penn wasn't anything special at all in Mystic River, in fact I think he was nothing in comparison to Tim Robbins.

Bill Murray I thought could have been anyone in Lost In Translation, the script was so good and so was Scarlet Johanson that they could have shoved anyone in there and they would have delivered a more or less great performance. I thought Bill Murray was just mundane in that film.
