------

I'm damn pleased to see Johnny Depp nominated for Best Actor.I seriously hope he wins, it's about time something like this got recodnized in the Oscars. His peformance in Pirates was indeed fantastic.

I still think Cold Mountain should've been nominated for Best Picture though, but it's nominated in quite a few other catogories so I'm sure they aren't too dissapointed. Also, there's the absence of Nicole Kidman in the Best Actress catogory, which I thought was kinda funny. Bet She's peeved though.

Lord Of The Rings *again* steals the show with 11 Nominations (I think), including special effects. I really think T3 or one of the Matrix sequels should've been nominated for that, as they had many more consistently good special effects shots.

Overall though, pretty interesting set of nominations.

Definetly. Can I ask one question why does the 't' in silent have a question mark instead?

Rendez-Vous seemed weird to me more than anything... it was unique but I'd like to see Nemo winning it, it's almost as good as shrek!

Exactly the same movie. Known as triplets in the States, rendez-vous in the Uk. Rendez-vous was the title I saw it as, and so its stuck with me.

Play chess and talk about politics, what else could I possibly do alone in my bedroom with noone else around? I'm just glad my broken wrist has healed, I'll have to put it to good use sometime.

Yeah, Nemo will get it, but "Belleville Rendez-Vous" was as I've said, something quite unique in animation. It'll be a little to weird a movie to give and Oscar too though. Shame.
